  • Step 1: Installing the LPC pin header.

First prepare the header by removing pin 4 with pliers.

Then place the pin header in the motherboard and secure it with some tape.

Turn around the motherboard and solder all the pins to the motherboard.

Note for v1.0-1.1: for a v1.0 and 1.1 motherboard the holes are filled with solder, you can easy remove this solder with solder braid.

 

  • Step 2: solder your D0 and ground point.

You can put the 2 wires through the 2 unused LPC holes to the bottom of the board.

Solder the white wire to the D0 point seen in the picture below.

Alternative D0 points: you can use the d0 point at the top side of the board, this point is a bit harder to solder.

Solder the Black wire to one of the grounds, I recommend to the ground leg of the c6p5 cap.

  • Step 3: Install the chip on the motherboard

Install the chip with the program pins to the left and connect the connector of the D0/GND wire to the chip.

  • Step 4: re-assemble the xbox.

Just do the steps of this guide in reverse order: Crack open that Xbox

 

  • Step 5: boot your xbox and you will be greeted with the Prometheos OS.
